Pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP)
PrEP, short for pre-exposure prophylaxis, is a medication, used by HIV-negative individuals who are at high risk of infection, in order to decrease their risk of getting infected with HIV.

How can I pay for PrEP?
PrEP is covered by many drug plans. If you:
- are 24 years of age or younger
- are 65 years of age or older
- are on Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program
- have the Trillium Drug Plan
you can qualify for PrEP through the Ontario Drug Benefit.
