Physical Activity

Physical activity is any movement that increases your heart rate and breathing. Being physically active improves your health and well-being. It has benefits for all ages, including reducing your risk for chronic diseases, improving your sleep, increasing your energy, and improving self-confidence and mental health.

Kingston Gets Active (KGA) is a community-wide initiative that raises awareness of the benefits of physical activity.

Walking to Wellness is a free, safe, and social indoor walking program for people of all ages to increase their physical activity. The program is offered at six municipal sites in the Southeast Public Health area in partnership with the City of Kingston, Loyalist Township, and the Town of Greater Napanee. There is no registration or membership required.

Strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs are always welcome. Bring a friend or meet new people onsite!
